Dan “Tower” Anderson holds in good standing a couple of internationally recognized dog training certifications

Being a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP) shows that Tower has gone through a rigorous vetting and training process. When you work with Tower, you and your dog(s) will get training techniques that are well-studied and backed by science.

Tower loves to use Clicker Training to get amazing results. Clicker Training is an animal training method based on behavioral psychology that relies on marking desirable behavior and rewarding it. It is really effective and downright fun!

Tower is also the only KPA-CTP in the Truckee and Lake Tahoe region. Tower teaches positively not just because he’s a nice guy (though he is), but because he understands the history and use of punishment in training. Tower’s use of the KPA approach is more effective in every meaningful dimension.

As an Absolute Dogs Pro Dog Trainer (AD PDT), Tower is all about playing games that help shape your dog’s brain to make great choices! Games teach concepts to your dog like focus, self-control and even being more optimistic in the face of scary things rather than punishing, depriving, or intimidating them!

Are You Facing a Struggle, There's a Game for That!

Whatever the struggle with your dog, there’s a game that works! The thing about games is they are crazily fun and it simply doesn’t feel like training. So many training techniques try and get you and your dog to confront the problem, usually resulting in worsening and completely overwhelmed.

Games Shape Your Dog’s Personality and Choices

The reason games work is because they teach concepts, concepts like self-control, optimism, confidence, and focus! These concepts then come in handy in other contexts outside of the game – real-life situations! Think of situations like the moment your dog sees the squirrel or the other dog or visitors come to your house!
